Da Nang, Vietnam April 4-6 2025 — A vibrant wave of enthusiasm and inspiration swept through the U-Go Summit 2025, held from April 4–6 at the Hyatt Regency Resort and Spa in Da Nang. This annual event brought together 24 U-Go scholars from eight Asian countries—Indonesia, India, Pakistan, Vietnam, the Philippines, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Cambodia—for a cross-cultural forum grounded in leadership, empathy, and collaboration.
The summit served as a platform for sharing ideas, experiences, and socially driven solutions to the challenges faced by young women in their respective regions. Participants engaged in panel discussions, interactive workshops, mentoring sessions, and cultural presentations that broadened their global perspectives.
One standout moment came from Indonesian delegate Bintang Muslimah, who introduced the udeng, a traditional headpiece from Banyuwangi, as a symbol of identity and Javanese life philosophy. She gifted the udeng to U-Go’s founder, John Wood, as a gesture of respect and cross-cultural friendship.
The summit also showcased U-Go’s ambitious vision to reach 10,001 scholarship recipients worldwide, reinforcing the mission of empowering young women to become agents of change in their communities.
More than just a gathering, the U-Go Summit 2025 was a celebration of potential, diversity, and the unwavering commitment of young women shaping a more inclusive and empowered future.
