Monica Anjelita

Born in Jakarta on the 20th February of 2004, I’m Monica Anjelita Anondo and people usually call me Monica. As a woman, I too have a big ambition for my future yet I came from a low class family who struggled financially for quality education. Then I take a few part-time jobs to help my family get through daily. With those few part-time jobs and studying at the same time, I have to say that there are times when I struggle with my time management. I’m very grateful to be accepted into one of Indonesia’s top universities which is Indonesia University and I took a vocational program for public relations.

I then proceeded to apply for scholarships and got accepted in U-Go x INOTEK scholarship’s program and have been a member of U-Go x INOTEK for almost a year now. U-Go’s scholarship program helped me a lot through college because they not only helped their students financially but they also provided many programs such as bootcamp and seminars. I encouraged myself to go to the boot camp because I was intrigued by what they’re going to teach. As expected, I have acquired a lot of knowledge like how to make a Business Model Canvas, entrepreneurship, time management and many more of sessions and tutorials to improve both soft and hard skills.

Along the way as I took the scholarship program apart from the programs and seminars, U-Go had helped me financially. I experimented with work while studying during the first few months of campus and it had a big impact on my studying. Thanks to U-Go, I can now take less part-time jobs and focus more on my studies. Academically I’ve improved my grades and could take a few organizations and committees. One of the organizations I used to be a member of is AIESEC in Indonesia University and I’m now a committee in one of vocational programs biggest event which is MABIMVOK Indonesia University, an orientation program for the new students. Overall, U-Go has a big impact for me as a student in a low class family who can’t afford the best quality education their daughter could have. So, me and my family owes U-Go a massive thank you for helping me reach my dreams.
