The Indonesian Technology Innovation Foundation (INOTEK), in collaboration with U-Go Indonesia, will host EmpoweRUN, a Fun Run event during Jakartau2019s Car Free Day.
This initiative is designed not only as a community sports activity but also as a platform to introduce the U-Go Scholarship Program to the wider public.
The U-Go Scholarship aims to empower young women in Indonesia by providing access to higher education. Beyond financial support, the program focuses on nurturing leadership, building confidence, and strengthening critical and analytical thinking skills. With these foundations, scholarship recipients are expected to grow into adaptive leaders who can make meaningful contributions to their communities and society at large.
EmpoweRUN will bring together the spirit of health, solidarity, and social awareness. Participants will enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of Car Free Day while symbolically supporting education and gender equality through every step they take.
More than just a run, EmpoweRUN is envisioned as a collective movement to inspire the public to embrace healthy living and recognize education as a key to building a future generation of empowered women leaders in IndonesiaOn Sunday, April 26, 2026, the INOTEK Foundation in collaboration with the U-Go Scholarship successfully held the Week 1 Program SHINE (She Inspires and Empowers) 2.O virtually via Zoom Meeting. The event brought together U-Go scholarship recipients from semesters 2, 4, and 6, aiming to equip young women with leadership skills and structured approaches to designing impactful social programs.
The program reflects U-Go’s mission to empower young women through higher education while fostering critical thinking and leadership. Gender equality is emphasized not only as a moral agenda but as a fundamental pillar for sustainable social and economic development. Through SHINE, participants were encouraged to understand social issues and learn systematic program design using the Waterfall Method, a step-by-step approach from problem identification to implementation.
Running from 09:30 to 12:00 WIB, the workshop featured a main session on Waterfall Method Management, followed by Q&A, worksheet explanation, and group discussions. Participants explored how to identify social problems, develop structured plans, and create innovative solutions across key sectors such as health and well-being, climate and disaster resilience, digital and media, entrepreneurship and financial literacy, and sustainability.
By the end of the session, participants were expected to translate ideas into clear, measurable, and impactful program plans. SHINE 2.O marks an important step in nurturing a generation of young women who are not only academically accomplished but also ready to become agents of change in their communities.
