Last weekend, in the heart of Singapore, U-GO once again demonstrated the power of collaboration by hosting its largest fundraising night in the organization’s four-year history. The U-GO Singapore Board proudly announced that the event successfully raised a total of US$ 2.2 million, marking a significant milestone in the global mission to empower scholars.
The magical evening was filled with enthusiasm and generosity. A live auction led by Amy Powell and Robert Sleigh contributed US$ 258,000, while the most emotional highlight came during the direct donation call “Empower Our Scholars.” Support poured in overwhelmingly, enabling U-GO to fund more than 2,600 additional scholarship years worldwide.
Beyond the impressive figures, the night was made even more memorable by the heartfelt speech of Nimaz Ayu Dewanti, an outstanding student from the Faculty of Public Health at Universitas Diponegoro. Representing thousands of beneficiaries, Nimaz shared her inspiring journey directly with the Board and global investors, embodying the true impact of the scholarship program.
