Malang – On November 29, 2025, the U-Go Indonesia Scholarship Program held its Welcoming Day in Malang, carrying the theme “First Step, Endless Impact.” The event marked a significant milestone for new scholars, blending inspiration, leadership, and community spirit.
The program began with an inspirational session by Mr. John Wood, Founder of U-Go, who shared the vision and passion behind the scholarship program. This was followed by Ms. Ivi Anggraeni, Executive Director of INOTEK, presenting the U-Go Indonesia program and introducing the teams from Inotek Foundation and U-Go Indonesia. Scholars were reminded of their moral responsibility as recipients of the scholarship.
The atmosphere grew warmer during Character and Leadership of a Scholar led by Nur Wahyu Arumdani, Program Associate at INOTEK Foundation, who emphasized that true leadership begins with discipline, integrity, and courage. Later, in Scholars as Changemakers, Diva Fidela Alaisma (U-Go Scholar 2024) encouraged participants to embrace social responsibility, leadership, and the ability to turn ideas into impactful action.
In the afternoon, scholars joined outbound and team building activities under the theme “Together We Grow.” Through collaborative games and group challenges, they learned to build trust, teamwork, and a sense of belonging to the community. The event concluded with a symbolic moment: singing the U-Go song together, representing unity and shared spirit.
Far beyond a ceremonial gathering, Welcoming Day became a milestone for U-Go scholars—equipping them to grow as resilient young women, globally competitive, and ready to create lasting impact for society
